Details
Brittany has, at times, been shown to be impulsive. However, she drives toward any goal she has set with complete determination, stopping just short of ruthlessnes. During the series Brittany is depicted as domineering and as somewhat sarcastic and untrustworthy. An example of this is when she dismissess Simon's advice in The Chipmunk Adventure, when he advises them to avoid the easternly route to avoid Hurricane Arlene. She believes it to be a trick to slow them down so they'll lose the race. Also due to her ego, Brittany has been shown to be unable to admit her mistakes. Such as when her balloon is destroyed as a result of being caught in the hurricane. Her sisters demand that she admits her mistake, however as she is trying to admit it, she is unable to say the full sentence, instead changing the subject. However, Brittany is shown to be kind and compassionate, such as when she at first refuses to help Eleanor take home a kidnapped baby penguin but later submits after seeing its deep sadness and longing. Brittany has been show to be more vain about her appearance. In the I Love The Chipmunks Valentine, it is shown that several boys wanted to go to the dance with her (although she only wanted Alvin) which means she is seen in boys' eyes as "attractive".
Like Alvin, Brittany has always taken on the role as leader of the Chipettes, being lead singer or foward speaker for her sisters.
Brittany and Alvin have always shared an on/off relationship, often appearing to hate each other. However, they are known to express great feelings of love towards the other. The common scenario between the two is that at first they apear to be friends, but eventually butt heads, argue over the subject for a period of time (often blowing it out of perportion). Despite how bad things get, the two eventually agree that they care for the other and make up.
CGI differences: Though her basic concept is retained in the CGI films, there are some notable differences. Besides appearance, her personality is toned down. She is a lot friendlier and polite, making it easier for others to approach her. She is nicer and has better control over her temper than Alvin does, though it is still a bit shorter than most. She is also shown to have a much better, loving relationship with her sisters, becoming visibly concerned and defensive about them when her manager, Ian, tried to split them up. Unlike her cartoon version, she is able to apologize when sherealizes she's judged wrongly, such as to Alvin when she realized he was telling the truth about Ian Hawke. Despite these changes, she is as still stubborn, impatient and headstrong. Though in Alvin and the Chipmunks : Chipwrecked, Brittany's personality changes a little and leans more towards her 80's style. Biography
In the series Brittany was the first one born of the 3 Chipette triplets in Australia. All of them were orphaned, but it wasn't mentioned in the series. Luckily they we're taken in the care of by an orphaned human girl named Olivia in an orphanage, until they we're kidnapped by Miss Grudge (the runner of the orphanage) and Eva (another orphan). The night when Olivia was adopted, they all escape to New York where they worked as miserable diner waitresses and lived on the streets. Until a few years later they moved to California and eventually hit the big time.
In Alvin and the Chipmunks: The Squeakquel, Brittany and her two sisters arrived at the residence of Ian Hawke via mail package. They perform for him, impressing him and getting adopted (most likely making her Brittany Hawke at that time). Ian tells all of them lies about the Chipmunks when they express interest in meeting them, which they all believe. Brittany is shown to be visibly shocked and disappointed at the news. She soon meets Alvin and his brothers at West Eastman, falling in love with him. However, she reminds herself and her sisters that they can't trust them. The girls then audition for a place on the Battle of the Bands, the principle agreeing to let the Chipettes compete against the Chipmunks. A few days later, at lunch, Alvin approaches Brittany and attempts to warn her about the inevitable betrayal of Ian. Brittany dismisses his claims, eventually getting angry that he would say things about her manager. She eventually falls off the lunch line, embarassing herself in front of the other students. Alvin teases her, leading to a surge of competitiveness in Brittany. She is determined to "destroy those Chipmunks,", even though her sisters voice opposite opinions, wanting to meet him. Ian begins to show favoritism towards Brittany being the star, pushing her sisters far away from her. Brittany quickly notices, but is relunctant to admit that, maybe, Alvin was right. At the competition, the Chipettes impress the crowd with " Single Ladies ". The boys could not perform because Alvin never showed up, causing them to forfit. Brittany watches the two leave, obviously feeling bad for them. After they are declared the winners, Brittany stays behind and meets Alvin alone. She voices how disappointed she is in him, and how she never wanted to win against him by default. Later, Ian tells the girls that, instead of performing at the Battle of the Bands, they were going to be an opening act for the Brittany Spears concert at the Staple's Center. They are all elated until Jeanette asks about the contest. Ian blows off the contest, lifting Brittany up and telling her how he only had plans of making her a star, holding up a golden dress to her. Brittany gasps in wonder, but quickly saddens and asks about her sisters'. Ian shrugs them off, throwing a couple silver dresses at them and saying "they can be back-up." Brittany folds her arms defiantly and tell him she would never do this without Eleanor and Jeanette, walking to them and holding their hands to prove her point. Ian grabs them all roughly by their tails and threatens to barbeque them if they do not do as he says. Brittany fearfully clutches her sisters' hands as she agrees. Later, now stuffed in cages, she uses Ian's phone to call, asking him and his brothers to fill in for them. When Alvin asks why, she admits that she should have believed him about Ian, confirming that he did, indeed, lock them up in a cage. Alvin uses a toy motorcycle to save the girls, Brittany holding onto him and apologizing for not believing him. They eventually lose Ian and make it to the contest in time, singing together with the Chipmunks to perform "We Are Family." At the end of the film, Brittany and her sisters live with Dave Seville. It is also known she can speak French like Alvin proven in the song " Bad Romance " from the movie Alvin and the Chipmunks : Chipwrecked.
In Little Alvin and the Mini-Munks, they live with Dave and The Chipmunks. And at early age she is shown to have a speech impediment, pronoucing words wrong (EX: lippick = lipstick, Gilda = Gila, Nette = Jeanette). It also appears that she developed her personality at an early age, for instance she seems to be self-centered despite being very young. It appears that she really loves Alvin deep down and pretends to have hatred towards him.

Brittany in CGI? Let's just say the directors of the Squeakquel tweaked one too many things. She fits the design of a real-life chipmunk, with her fur color being a warm auburn. She wears a seemingly pink leather jacket, skirt, blouse and tie. Her hair, much like her cartoon rendition, is styled into a ponytail. In Chip-Wrecked, her look is slightly different. She has her usual ponytail, but instead she has a denim jacket, a light pink t-shirt with two pink stripes and a pink skirt with black polka dots. This is her outfit for the beginning of the movie untils she trades it for a pink flower bikini she
